
Porta Aperta was founded in 2001 as a type A social cooperative called “Porta Aperta Piccola Società Cooperativa Sociale a rl”. It changed its name to the current one in 2005 and in the same year it contributed to the foundation of the Consortium of Social Cooperatives “Andalas de Amistade”.
Porta Aperta places the person at the centre of its actions and does so by adopting a working methodology aimed at improving the well-being and quality of life of all those involved in the life and work of the Cooperative, namely:
- its human resources: aims to optimize their human, cultural, professional and economic skills through constant training, the support of the psychologist-supervisor and a turnover containment methodology focused on listening to everyone’s needs
- the beneficiary people to whom it directs its activities: it acts with personalized intervention plans that take into account every aspect of the person involved and promotes multidisciplinary teamwork to respond to every type of need
- the public and private bodies and organizations for which it carries out services or with which it collaborates: attentive to the social needs of the territorial context of reference, it organizes services focused on network collaboration with the resources present in the territory
